School photos

They had there pictures taken at school this week and I am excited to see how they turned out. They took individual ones and a class photo. I am hoping they both turn out nice.

Beth's job

I am sad to say I am no longer working at Sydney's school. She would cry when she would see me so I am no longer working there, because she loves school and it made it hard on her me being there. Well, we gave it a try and better luck next time.

Circus

Egyptian- Russian European Circus comes to Abu Dhabi for the first time April 1 to April 20. We are taking Sydney to see the Circus for the first time on Friday. I hope Sydney enjoys the Circus.

Trip to WV

After visiting family in TX, we are off to WV. I can't wait to see my family. We took time out to visit family and friends and everyone has to go camping when spring is in the air. I have to say I was not to thrilled about going, but my parents new camper is really nice and there new spot across the pond is priceless. I never thought in a million years that the camp I grew up at and attended summer camp at, that I would one day take my own daughter too. Sydney got to feed the swans and ducks, which she just loved and she got to experience fishing for the first time even though we didn't catch anything. Thanks, for making Sydney first camping trip so much fun. I am so glad we did it. Easter Sunday morning service was really nice and we had a get together with family and friends that evening. Hot dogs and Hamburgers!! I just love the sign of summer when you get to grill outside. Way to go Paul and Dad for making the best Hot dogs and Hamburgers in town. It is so much better on the grill. Chase and Sydney hunted Easter eggs outside and what wonderful weather we had. I believe it was hotter in WV then TX when we visited there and who would have thought that. Talk about Global Warming. Mom and Dad we miss you already and thanks for making our trip back home so special. Now we are off to Abu Dhabi, UAE our home!! I never thought I would say that, well it is our home away from home!!!

Trip to TX

We made the long journey to come back to the US after being gone for nine months. Our first stop is TX and then WV. Our flight was at 9am and it took 15 hours and 46 minutes nonstop. It is so wired that we arrived in TX the same day we flow out on at 4:30pm. With the time difference it is like we didn't travel at all, but we were pretty tired. I am surprised that Sydney did really well on the flight over and she watched Mickey Mouse on the TV and she was so cute with the headphones on. We spend time visiting family and took time out for our Wedding Anniversary of 7 years to have dinner at Red Lobster. I have to say the time has really went fast. We are sad that we had to make the trip over to see Paul's family because Paul's dad got called up to active duty and he will be gone for about a year. We are truly inspired by his dedication to our country. Way to go Jon!!! Sydney has really enjoyed her trip back to TX and I am so glad we got to see extended family as well. Thank you for making our trip back home so special.

Abu Dhabi International Book Fair

The Book Fair had over 800 exhabitors from more than 60 countries spead over four halls (19,000 sqm gross) the book fair has grown from last year. This makes the 20th book fair here. I was so excited to see that they had the US Embassy there with a stall with a few books it just seemed only natural to buy a book from there and someday tell Sydney where it came from. I plan to write in the book so she will always have it. Just seeing the eagle which is also on our passport just made you feel all warm inside that we are making a difference here.
